I’m undertaking a 1000-day reinvention project, focused on launching a writing and advisory business around personal finance for GenXers. I’m blogging here daily to track my progress. In Sunday Planning, I plan for the week ahead.

I dined at Casa Bonita last week with my daughter and her boyfriend. We visited the “Tarot” reader to get our fortunes read. I put that in quotes because she wasn’t reading from a Tarot deck but rather from some sort of astrological set of cards.
The card I picked was Moon in Gemini. She told me, “Everything will happen for you, but not in the time frame you want. You need to be patient.”
By making this project 1000 days long I’m already creating a context for patience. I need to be patient, but I need to move forward every day, and every week.
This week I plan to record and (maybe) publish the first episode of my podcast, with talking head video footage, so I can post it to YouTube as well. I had been contemplating doing a first season of the podcast and launching in August, with three episodes already ready to be published at once. But really, this podcast is intended to be ongoing, not season-based. There’s no need to wait.
I’m also thinking of doing a quick Friday Flash podcast episode each Friday with quick thoughts about my progress and anything else that comes up.
And, I’m planning to follow a new daily routine. Now that Maycember (end-of-school-year) activities are complete I should be able to be more structured with my days.
