Day 408 of 1000: D.H. Lawrence’s Writing Style

I’m enjoying reading Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and appreciate Lawrence’s poetic, repetitive style. But his style is not favored by all critics.

Marriage is too many things at once: a legal contract, an economic partnership, a kinship structure, and your all-consuming intimate relationship.

My experience of becoming a confirmed single has been similar to L.A. Paul’s vampire thought experiment. I couldn’t forecast what it would be like.

Looking forward to late life, what goddess archetypes am I living out right now? Hecate and Hestia, I think.
